Sharing medical-scientific research, vaccine options, prevention, proper nutrition, physical activity, active aging, the fight against tumors, healthcare rights, and mental health awareness in youth.
With over 120 speakers, the 3-day event includes Nobel Prize laureates, scientists, doctors, journalists, politicians, industrial leaders, and sports icons such as Anna Maria Bernini (Italian Minister of University and Research), Gianrico Carofiglio, Gino Cecchettin, Andrea Crisanti, the 2023 Nobel Prize winner for Medicine Katalin Karikó, the 2019 Nobel Prize winner for Physics Michel Mayor, the 2014 Nobel Prize winner for Medicine John O’Keefe, sculptor Michelangelo Pistoletto, and astronaut Walter Villadei.
The 2024 edition offers screening tests such as lipid tests and spirometry tests to diagnose possible asthma or other chronic pulmonary disease. Participants can also receive free consultations, such as dermatological counseling and how to combat obesity.
The festival also includes several theatrical performances, including one that carries a topical nature close to that of the National Center. I mitocondri e la polenta da mia nonna a Lynn Margulis written by Marco Paolini, offers a perspective on the common thread between the history we share with others and the advantages/disadvantages of genetics that have moved towards broader integrations of our DNA and the enhancement of diversity without the loss of traditions or culture.
